What happens to the connection to Vision, if the USER changes the ADMIN PASSWORD of the NVR?
If the user changes the password of NVR, NVR will show offline, the user needs to reconnect NVR by entering a new password on Vision, and it will take a while for NVR to get back online. -
I can view camera live streaming on the Turing Vision platform, but did not receive any people or vehicle alerts. I have followed the guidelines and set everything correctly.
It could possibly caused by two reasons:
1) Time sync issue between Turing NVR, Bridge and 3rd party camera, make sure those three have the same time setting.
2) 3rd party cameras use improper encoding settings, for instance, still use 4K as mainstream resolution, need to adjust camera resolution down to 4MP/5MP or lower. Make sure no other existing NVR is changing this setting. -
If the 3rd party camera has the option for human / vehicle in vca settings, and I only choose human. Will I still receive vehicle alerts?
It is possible, Turing Vision receives ONVIF Intrusion events from the camera and does secondary processing on the events, so technically on Turing Vision, you will see both people and vehicle alerts if you set up rules for both. -
Can motion and intrusion be enabled at the same time?
Technically YES, but you might receive duplicate alerts for the same event, so it is not recommended to turn on both for alert purposes. -
Why can’t I apply for a license to a 3rd party camera?
Some 3rd party cameras are not in Turing’s compatibility list, please reach out to Turing Tech support to help verify the model and manually enable license after verification. -
What if my Legacy camera is down and the license is not expired, what shall I do with my license?
We support transfer licenses from one camera to another, but in order to do that, before disconnecting the broken camera, please record the camera's serial number so our support team can find its licenses and transfer it to the new camera.

TURING VISION® V1.70 Release Note
Release date: January 9th, 2026
Turing Vision Updates
-
(General Release) (Mobile) Alert Summary: A Leap Forward in Security Camera Alerts
Security cameras traditionally notify you of an event, such as a "person" or "vehicle" alert, but require you to watch the footage to understand the context. The new Alert Summary feature, powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), revolutionizes this process.
AI automatically analyzes the alert video and generates a concise summary of the key actions. This allows for immediate understanding of what transpired without needing to click into the full video.
-
(General Release) Add Alert Summary for camera alerts (Web)
The Alert Summary feature is now accessible within Vision Web for cameras with Guardian AI licenses.
When viewing the alert page, summary information will be displayed directly in the alert list, describing when, where, who, and what occurred.
-
(General Release) Added device health alert for Bridge and IPC back online
Previously, users only received notifications when a camera or Bridge went offline. While helpful, this meant users had to manually check the system to confirm restoration.
The new "back online" notification resolves this. Users will now be informed immediately when a device is restored, saving time, especially in cases of temporary network fluctuations.
-
(General Release) Add Support for new Product: Turing Strobe Speaker
The Strobe Speaker is an IP speaker enhanced with an integrated strobe light. With the v1.70 release, users can now add and manage Strobe Speakers, mirroring the process for standard IP speakers.
Capabilities:
- Two-Way Communication: Directly address individuals via the Strobe Speaker.
- Audio Alerts: Trigger pre-recorded messages through the speaker.
- Visual Alerts: Activate the Strobe Speaker's flashing light.
- Automated Response: Create alert rules to automatically trigger the speaker's light or play audio.
-
Other Optimizations & Bug Fixes
Optimizations:
- Safe City: Added time filter to Guardian search.
- Webhooks: Admin users now receive an email notification when a webhook is paused due to a high error rate.
- Fisheye Dewarping: Expanded viewing options to include 1-PTZ and 4-PTZ software dewarp modes.
- Fisheye Bookmarks: Saved bookmarks now automatically capture and store specific PTZ coordinates for precise recall.
- Edge+ Storage: During playback, the system automatically switches to HD Mode when accessing footage older than 7 days. Added a tooltip clarifying this logic.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed incorrect error message when reaching the maximum streaming count in Vision.
- Fixed an issue where users could not select a 30-day time range for search in certain scenarios.
